Initial Positioning of Biofuels in North Carolina Counties
Gaining large biofuels production capacity across the state will require realistic juncture of feedstocks and production technologies. Grown or secured from waste materials, feedstocks must be directed to a centralized production facility, large or small. Large multimillion-gallon production facilities will draw feedstocks county- or region-wide.
The Biofuels Center developed an initial positioning report based on early ideas and exploration of long-term biofuels projects taking shape at six sites across the state.
