North Carolina's Biofuels Campus
North Carolina's Biofuels Campus
North Carolina's Biofuels Campus is home to the Biofuels Center and is a partnership between the Center and the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Over the next decade, the Campus will take shape as the nation's only large acreage site for biofuels trial growing, company incubation and partnerships, demonstration and pilot facilities, and public education.
A master plan is currently being developed for the 400+ acre campus to thoughtfully transform the campus into a location where people from the worlds of science, agriculture and industry can easily collaborate.
North Carolina's Biofuels Campus also provides a unique location for a range of possibilities around public-private partnerships. The Campus provides an ideal space for biofuels feedstock research and verification in test plots on site. Additionally, the Campus will provide a location and the infrastructure for small company incubation in the Biofuels Company Accelerator.
